An Indianapolis man is behind bars in Gibson County, accused of theft.
Deputies were called to the Pilot Travel Center Wednesday night regarding a missing dog.
The victim stated they were in the parking lot talking to a man who identified himself as Gregory Morton.
They said they went inside the convenience store, and when they came out, they discovered their Mastiff was gone and so was Morton.
A Vanderburgh County Deputy located Morton and the dog at a hotel 8 miles away.
After a brief investigation, Gregory Morton was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Detention Center, where he was charged with Theft.
