The Excel Center in Evansville has received a grant to launch a student hardship program.
The Vanderburgh Community Foundation awarded the center $12,500 as part of its Community Good Grant Program.
This will provide emergency financial assistance to qualifying students whose education is at risk due to unexpected financial hardships.
The Excel Center is a free public high school that gives Indiana adults a second chance at earning a high school diploma.
They are currently enrolling students for the upcoming school year.
