An Evansville landmark has hit the auction block.
The Carousel Restaurant, a long-standing dining staple on Monroe Avenue, operated for over 58 years as a family eatery known for comfort food and a buffet.
It permanently closed its doors last May, citing electrical issues.
The nearly 6,500-square-foot building sits on nearly an acre of land near Washington Square Mall.
Prospective buyers can inspect the property on May 7 and May 13 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The auction is scheduled for Thursday, May 14.
