Royal Baby
It’s official – Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy! As expected, the couple broke tradition and announced the birth first on Instagram…and THEN Buckingham Palace confirmed it the “old fashioned way.” Just like Harry and Meghan told us, details have been pretty scare. What we do know? Baby Sussex weighed in at 7 lbs 3 oz and arrived just after 5am local time. Harry was by Meghan’s side…and as you might expect was absolutely beaming when he gave his first remarks after the birth to the media afterwards. Now, the family of three is at home at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor along with Meghan’s mom.
Met Gala
The annual Met Gala happened last night in New York, with this year’s theme being “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” and some folks certainly went all out. Katy Perry probably turned the most heads, dressed as a crystal chandelier, complete with three layers of electronic candles, some of which were on her head. Lady Gaga, who was a co-host of the event, showed up in not one, but
four outfits.
She revealed them one by one as she made her way up the steps of the Met. Harry Styles, who was also a co-host, wore a black Gucci ensemble, featuring a sheer black top that showed off his tattoos, and black pants that came up to the middle of his chest, along with a single pearl earring. Perhaps the most dramatic entrance of all went to Billy Porter, who was carried in on a throne by six shirtless men and was dressed head to toe in gold.
Starbuck’s Cup
If you watched the latest episode of “Game Of Thrones,” you might’ve noticed something in the background that didn’t exactly look like it belonged in Westeros. That’s because someone left what looks like a Starbucks cup on a table. HBO has since made light of the incident on Twitter, saying: “the latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.” By the way, experts estimate Starbucks has received more than $11.6 million in free advertising thanks to cup accidentally making its way into the scene.
