The WIKY team was honored to accept the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation “Service to America” award at a ceremony on June 9th in Washington D.C.
The award was given in recognition of WIKY’s annual free Veterans Day breakfast. Attending the ceremony were WIKY General Manager Tim Huelsing, Morning Show Host Dennis Jon Bailey, Operations Manager Aaron Santini, and Midwest Communications Company President Peter Tanz.
The morning after the ceremony the team was invited to Senator Todd Young’s office on Capitol Hill for a congratulatory meeting with The Senator and his staff.
Special recognition to Browning Funeral Home for underwriting the breakfast each year, and the Evansville Wartime Museum for hosting the event.
Only 3 radio stations in the United States are recognized for this award each year.
