Evansville native and baseball great Don Mattingly will not be returning to the Toronto Blue Jays, where he has served as bench coach.
But a message on his website says that doesn’t mean he is retiring.
While he is unsure of his immediate future, he definitely wants to remain a participant in the game he loves so much, said a spokesperson.
The Blue Jays lost to the L.A. Dodgers 4 games to 3 in the World Series last week.
