The Downtown Evansville Improvement District (DEID) is hosting the Asian Night Market Presented by Deaconess on Friday, September 12 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM.
The event will feature 20+ Asian vendors and community organizations on Carpenter Street. Discover authentic Asian street food, sweet treats, handmade goods, baked goods, and more. Activities will include karaoke inside of Warehouse 410, yard games, and crafts.
“We are thrilled to welcome guests to Carpenter Street for our first Asian Night Market. This event connects to our ongoing efforts to create a vibrant Downtown destination by celebrating and enjoying Asian culture and cuisine. Special thanks to local restaurant operators Randy Hobson and Janjira Mccann for their collaboration in making this possible,” said Adam Trinkel, executive director, DEID.
Admission is free. Downtown stores and restaurants will be open for customers. Bruce Li, Chino Taco, Hul Lotta Lumpia, Kanpai, and Mangkok Filipino Cuisine will also be serving food along Carpenter Street. Guests 21 and older can purchase alcoholic beverages in official Downtown Evansville DORA branded cups and enjoy them within the DORA boundaries.
Free parking will be available near the event space at Fine & Hatfield, OneMain, 2nd Language, and more. Public restrooms will be accessible on Carpenter Street. ATMs will also be available in the event space.
