A former Bartholomew County Township Trustee is accused of stealing.
The Indiana State Police began an investigation into 56-year-old Benjamin P. Jackson following a tip that he had made personal purchases using a township credit card.
An audit revealed that multiple purchases were made between 2016 and 2024, totaling over $1 million.
The Columbus, Indiana man was arrested on charges of Corrupt Business Influence, Forgery, Official Misconduct, and Theft.
