An incredible survival story comes from Florida after a teenage boy suffered a severe brain injury.
Caleb Bennett
was on a boat with his friends and brother when the anchor in the boat slipped from the back and ended up hitting him in the head. He had metal protruding from his skull but stayed conscious and told them to call 911. He made it to the hospital and doctors were able to remove part of his skull to let the brain have room to swell. They said his survival with no damage to his neurological system was a one-in-a-million chance. He does suffer from seizures from time to time, but at least he is alive and well. Now his friends call him ‘Anchorman’.
