Did no one learn anything the last time this happened? A billionaire in Ohio plans on going down to the final resting place of the Titanic using a $20 million submarine.

His name is Larry Conner. He’s a real estate investor that wants to prove the industry for submersibles are much safer now than they were last year when the OceanGate incident occurred. There is a simulation of what possibly happened when the OceanGate submersible imploded, and it’s not pretty to imagine.
WARNING: This may be hard to watch.
So why does this billionaire want to try this again? He says “I want to show people worldwide that while the ocean is extremely powerful, it can be wonderful and enjoyable and really kind of life-changing if you go about it the right way,” according to the Wall Street Journal. He has been in a partnership with an engineer to build a $20 million sub to make the trip safer and manageable. Count me out.
