EPD Investigating Forged Checks Belonging To E-REP

Evansville police open a fraud investigation after an incident involving forged checks.

The EPD Financial Crimes unit was called Friday to the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership concerning four forged checks.

Those checks were cashed and totaled around $7,300.

The checks were cashed at different places.

An E-REP employee says a claim was filed with the organization’s bank.
