This July, Tri-State Food Bank will hold their third BackPack Hero Campaign, presented by HOT 96.

The BackPack Hero Campaign is a virtual 14-day fundraising challenge to individuals, companies, and organizations that takes place July 19 – August 1, 2025.

Clay from the HOT96 Morning Show, with the help of our other HOT96 DJs, will go live on-air to challenge their listeners to join in the fight against Tri-State hunger by texting hero to 82474 to make a donation to Tri-State Food Bank.

Our goal is to raise $24,000 for Tri-State Food Bank’s Weekend BackPack Food for Kids
Program, which will help provide over 70,000 bags of food during the 2025-26 school year to over 3,000 Tri-State children facing hunger! The food will be sufficient to provide the child’s complete food needs for the weekend with 6 nutritious meals, milk, juice, fruit items and snacks.
