Casey White appeared in a Lauderdale County, Alabama courtroom yesterday to plead guilty for his 2022 escape.
This was part of an agreement to have the felony murder case dismissed for the death of jailer Vicky White.
White agreed to a life sentence with the possibility of parole in 2061.
He told the courtroom that his relationship with Vicky started by passing letters to each other.
The escape happened in April of 2022 and they were caught in Evansville on May 9.
White says he loved Vicky and they wanted a better life together.
Vicky died from a self inflicted gun shot wound.
