City leaders pulled the curtain on the future plans for Wesselman Park on Monday.
A new sign on Boeke Road will replace the one that has been there for decades.
The park will include pickle ball and four full-size basketball courts, two baseball fields, sand volleyball and a parkour.
The city will expand Wesselman Woods by 45 acres and plant native Hoosier trees in that space.
The park will add 2.5 miles of trails that will serve as a hub by connecting existing trails throughout the city.
Deputy Mayor Steve Schaefer says investing in the park system is crucial for the residents.
