A child’s body was found by a mushroom hunter around 7:30 Saturday evening in a heavily wooded area in eastern Washington County.
Indiana State Police describe the child as a young black male between the ages of five and eight.
He is approximately 4’0″ with a slim build and a short haircut.
Investigators believe he died sometime within the last week.
The cause of death has not been released.
