Volksfest gets underway Thursday at Germania Maennerchor. They’ll be open for lunch starting at 11:00 all three days
German music is on tap; the polkas will ring out from the Schnapps Band of Cincinnati and Evansville’s own Rhein Valley Brass along with the Ratskeller Band.
And German cooking highlights the 58th edition including 1,400 pounds of Brat.
There’ll be a German costume competition.
The festival runs through Saturday.
