Hey guys, I want to know what you’d do if you were in my situation. I’ve wanted extensions for a long time and a friend of mine recommended someone in the area who they had a great experience with. So I messaged her, went in for a consultation and got my estimate. Fast forward to the day I got them installed, she took before & after pics, I tipped her 20%, got in my car and left. When I got outside and into the natural light, it became clear the extensions didn’t blend with my hair at all…like at all. My hair is red and the extensions were blonde. I messaged her and asked kindly if she could darken them and she explained that she could use some toner to darken them but she wouldn’t be able to fit me into my schedule this week. I then checked my receipt and saw where she overcharged me $75. It gets crazier. Then I got on Instagram and discovered that she photoshopped my hair in the “after” photos to make the blonde look red. I know she doctored the pics because A. that’s not what my hair looks like B. she left “red” from her editing app all over my white shirt and even my arm. (She said she didn’t photoshop anything, btw.) I messaged her again and asked about getting my $75 back and she said she wouldn’t refund more than that $75 OR she could tone them during her next available appointment. What would you if you were in my shoes? I feel like she should have done whatever it took to fit me in her schedule + refund me more than that $75. Not to mention she’s literally deceiving customers by photoshopping the finished product.
