Adam Levine
Adam Levine has broken his silence after Super Bowl 53. Early yesterday, Adam posted a photo from the performance on Instagram and in the caption thanked the universe for the opportunity to play on the world’s biggest stage. He also thanked the fans for making the group’s dreams possible and the critics for always pushing the band to do better. Also interesting, despite the criticism and backlash Maroon 5 faced after Sunday’s performance, sales of the six songs they performed rose by 587%.
Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato came under fire this weekend after posting memes about rapper 21 Savage, and it was enough to prompt her to deactivate her Twitter account. As I mentioned yesterday, 21 was taken into custody by ICE, who revealed he’s actually a British citizen that overstayed his visa. Demi posted a meme joking that 21 probably writes his rap verses with a quill and the internet wasn’t having it. Trolls immediately began dragging Demi, calling her a “junkie” and making fun of her overdose. She soon took her Twitter account down and explained on her Instagram Story, she wasn’t laughing at anyone getting deported and she’s sorry if she offended anyone but it’s no excuse to laugh at someone’s addiction.
Zac Efron
It looks like the Ted Bundy movie is headed to Netflix. Yesterday it was announced that the streaming service is closing in on a $9 million dollar dealto distribute “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.” The film stars Zac Efron and is expected to have a limited theatrical run this fall. No official release date has been announced.
