Mary Ann from “Gilligan’s Island” has died

Dawn Wells, the actress who played the Mary Ann on the classic TV Show “Gilligan’s Island” passed away Wednesday of causes related to COVID-19. She was 82.

Wells represented her home State of Nevada in the 1959 Miss America pageant before becoming an actress. She had parts on shows including “77 Sunset Strip,” “Maverick” and “Bonanza” before getting her big break on “Gilligan’s Island.”
