A Guy Dresses Up as Buddy the Elf to Meet His Biological Dad for the First Time

A guy in Maine just connected with his biological father for the first time, and he dressed as Buddy the Elf to meet him. Doug Henning is 40 years old and grew up in an adopted family, but after putting in quite a bit of work on Ancestry.com, he managed to connect with his biological dad, Raul. Raul flew from Colombia to Boston to meet Doug for the first time ever over Thanksgiving and Doug decided to greet him dressed as Will Ferrell’s character from the movie “Elf.” He recreated the scene where Buddy meets his dad and sings a song. Turns out Raul had never seen the movie so he was mostly confused. But ultimately it was a sweet moment and the internet loved it.
