An Evansville mother is in jail following a frantic call to 911.
Police were called to a home on North Second Avenue Saturday afternoon after a three-year-old was found unresponsive in a swimming pool.
The child was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His mother, Amie Jo Farber, was found passed out in a patio chair.
It’s alleged that Farber had consumed around five 25-ounce beers.
She is charged with neglect resulting in death.
