Newburgh, IN — Warrick Humane Society (WHS) is excited to announce the Snout About Scavenger Hunt at
Myriad, a fun and interactive community event taking place on Sunday, April 26 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
Inspired by the beloved event formerly known as Scratch ‘n Sniff, this updated scavenger hunt invites
participants to explore local businesses while supporting animals in need.
The event will begin and end at Myriad Brewing Company, where teams will check in, receive instructions,
and start their scavenger hunt adventure. Each team will be given a stuffed animal mascot, which must be
included in every photo taken throughout the hunt. Participants will travel to participating local businesses to
complete challenges and locate hidden items, each worth varying point values. At the conclusion of the
event, teams will return to Myriad Brewing Company for scoring, prizes, and post-event festivities.
Registration is $10 per person in advance and $15 per person on the day of the event. Participants can
register ahead of time at:

All participants will be entered into a special giveaway for a chance to win a pair of tickets to see Koe Wetzel
on August 7 at the Ford Center. In addition, the top three teams will receive gift baskets filled with a variety
of prizes.
Guests are encouraged to stay after the hunt to enjoy food from Mother Truckers Food Truck while winners
are announced and scores are tallied.
Local businesses also have the opportunity to get involved by participating as a “Gold Paw Print” stop along
the scavenger hunt route. Participating businesses can support WHS by donating $25 or a $50 gift certificate
and hosting a hidden Gold Paw Print for teams to find.
All proceeds from the event directly benefit Warrick Humane Society and help provide food, medical care,
enrichment, and shelter for animals awaiting their forever homes.
WHS extends a special thank you to Heritage Federal Credit Union for serving as the event sponsor and
helping make this event possible.

About Warrick Humane Society: Warrick Humane Society, a no-kill shelter located in Newburgh, Indiana. It
was founded in 1983 by a handful of dedicated volunteers who rescued lost, injured and neglected animals.
Since WHS opened their building in 1997 and began actively working with Animal Control agencies and other
rescue organizations, WHS has saved thousands of animals and placed them in loving homes. Warrick
Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) no-kill rescue dedicated to improving companion animals’ lives. WHS does not
receive any funding from taxes or any national organizations. WHS is funded entirely by individual and
corporate donations, bequests, grants and fundraising events. Because all animals adopted by WHS are
spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and microchipped as well as receiving any other special
care they may need, finding enough funding is always a challenge.
