The Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville (cMoe) invites guests 21
and older to a night of live music, food, drinks, games, and socializing across its three floors of
exhibits at the “Way-Late Play-Date” on May 10, 2025 from 6-10 p.m. Each ticket to this
fundraising event will provide guests a grazing menu of local catering and a choice of beer or
wine, in addition to a cash bar in the museum, a food truck outside, and donated soft drinks.
“The Way-Late Play-Date is where we give adults in the community the permission they’ve been
wanting to let loose and play,” said Director of Brand Advancement Luke Payton. “It’s a great
way to get them excited about the exhibits and programming that the children in their lives are
engaging with. We’re all about connection through the power of play.”
All guests who purchase a presale ticket through the cMoe website prior to the event will also
secure entry to a tour of cMoe’s historic building, dubbed Sip Through the Quacks. The tour will
explore restricted areas of the art deco building, formerly the Central Library and listed on the
National Register of Historic Places, previewing exhibit plans.
“cMoe serves a unique set of purposes in the Evansville region, not only being an education
partner for schools, but stewarding nearly a century of local history, architecture, and art,” said
Payton. “Sip Through the Quacks allows our donors to see and feel the history they’re
preserving with us. If you haven’t been involved with cMoe, this is your chance to get ‘deeply’
acquainted with us. Each ticket contributes to all our stewardship and development efforts.”
Tickets for the Way-Late Play-Date are available for $35 per person through cMoe’s website at
https://cmoekids.org/special-events/way-late-play-date-may-2025. Walk-ins are welcome at a
price of $40 per ticket. Live music will be played by Nashville-based Sophistipop band Summer
League from 7:30-10 p.m. For more details, follow @cmoekids on Instagram and Facebook.
