Angel Mounds is one of the most unique archeological sites in America, let alone the world. Archeologists are still finding new discoveries at Angel Mounds, but coming soon on March 22, you can take a tour of the night sky and learn about how the people of Angel Mounds lived using the stars in their everyday lives.
Astronomy at the Mounds is on March 22nd, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. According to the Indiana State Museum website, you can experience the mounds at night to see many of the site’s important celestial objects through a telescope. After that, you will also get the chance to learn about the sky’s cultural ties to Native American beliefs in their Starlab planetarium. The price for student tickets is $8 while adult tickets are $10. You can register for the event HERE.
