As a person that wears contacts, this is now one of my worst fears. A woman in China was trying to treat a case of hemifacial atrophy, which is a degeneration of facial tissue. As her eye appeared sunken, a doctor checked her out and saw there were more than just one contact lens in her eye. After looking closely, they removed five lenses that got stuck behind her eyeball.
This is terrifying, but it’s definitely not as scary as finding more than 20 in your eye, like this woman did.
Lasik surgery looking more like a smarter option now.
