Jesse Kipf of Kentucky was arrested for aggravated identity theft and computer fraud after officials found out he had faked his own death. He was able to access the Hawaii death registry system in January 2023. He was able to assign himself as a medical certifier for a case he created to say he had died, and then certified it using his fake credentials. That resulted in government records confirming he was deceased.
