The 15th Honor Flight of Southern Indiana made it back to the Evansville Regional Airport around 8:00 Saturday night.
They received a grand homecoming from plenty of people waiting for their return.
Dozens of veterans and their guardians took the trip to the nation’s capital to tour war memorials, many for the first time.
The highlight is always the welcome home parade, bringing the long day to a close around 10:00 p.m.
