The Indiana State Teachers Association filed a complaint with the Indiana Education Employment Relations Board against the EVSC.
They did so, on behalf of the Evansville Teachers Association.
The complaint alleges that EVSC failed to bargain with ETA before announcing an increase to a Priority Schools Retention Stipend for next school year.
Indiana statute requires that school corporations bargain with local associations on salary, wages and related fringe benefits.
The filing alleges unfair labor practice and is ordering a cease and desist and wants the EVSC to pay ETA $5,000 for each unfair practice.
