A herd of goats and rams acting as live lawn-mowers for a farmer, opted to escape instead.
The animals are back in custody after wandering around a Michigan town and doing some extra “mowing” and then they found a resident’s grapevines and garden. He called police. The Southfield PD were tasked Monday with rounding up the animals.
They had been rented from a local farmer to graze on a resident’s overgrown lawn grass. Police said the lawn-mowing herd was eventually taken to an animal control center, but would be returned to their owner.
Goats have become a popular, eco-friendly alternative to traditional landscaping services in recent years.
