Back in January, a report came out that said Florida was the best state to retire in, but what if you don’t want to retire in the U.S.? There are many people that choose to live in other countries once they’ve stopped working, and a new report reveals where those folks should think about heading.
- MarketWatch has come out with their 2021 Annual Global Retirement Index, revealing the best places in the world to retire.
- The Index is based on hundreds of opinions and real-life experiences from trusted resources, many of whom are living in the areas they are reporting on.
- Topping the list is Costa Rica, which gets high marks for lower cost of living, affordable medical care, many real estate options, friendly locals and natural beauty.
- According to the report, a couple can live comfortably in Costa Rica for $2,000 a month, which includes rent for a two-bedroom home, with air conditioning, plus groceries, entertainment, transportation and healthcare.
