Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say the Highway 81 Panther Creek Bridge in Daviess County is expected to re-open in August.
Repairs on the bridge are ahead of schedule.
It was heavily damaged May 21 by a vehicle with a load too high to clear the top portion of the bridge.
The cross members are being replaced and raised approximately 2 feet, increasing clearance to 17 feet.
