Dave Chappelle
Dave Chappelle is facing backlash for his new Netflix comedy special, “Sticks & Stones,” in which he publically doubts Michael Jackson accusers. As you might expect, a lot of people have criticized his stance on the controversy, including both Wade Robsonand James Safechuck, Jackson’s accusers from the ‘Leaving Neverland’ documentary. In the special, Chappelle also cracks jokes about various other controversies, including R. Kelly’s countless cases and Kevin Hart’s Oscars controversy.
Lori Loughlin
Lori Loughlin and her husband made another appearance in court yesterday, where they waived their rights to separate attorneys, something the Judge warned them wasn’t the best idea for a good defense. This means they’ll be represented by the same law firm and if one goes down, they both go down. Either way, the couple is facing more than 20-years each in prison if they are found guilty on charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, honest services fraud and money laundering.
Pete Davidson
Pete Davidson laid in on a crowd of college students during a stand-up gig on Monday night. He was headlining a comedy show at the University of Central Florida when he went on an expletive-laced rant about his apparently strict no-phone policy. According to a
video posted to YouTube
, Davidson halted the set to scold the crowd for using their phones, calling them a bunch of “privileged little a**holes.” He then said “That’s what’s [messed] up about our generation, that’s why we’re embarrassing, that’s why the world is going to end in 25 years. I have to have my boys patrol you guys like you’re 5 years old? That’s embarrassing.”
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran wrapped up his “Divide” World Tour on Monday with his final four shows taking place near his hometown in England. As predicted, the tour proved to be the most profitable tour of all time, breaking the previous record set by U2’s “360” Tour. In total, Ed raked in $775.6 million from 8.9 million tickets at 255 performances over the span of two-and-a-half years. For the record, that’s about $35 million more than U2’s tour earned.
