Better watch your surroundings for your next selfie. Turns out, selfie injuries/deaths are now beating out shark attacks.
According to the
Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care
, at least 259 people died taking selfies around the globe, compared to just 50 people killed by sharks in the same period. That was measured between October 2011 and November 2017. While women have been taking more selfies, men seem to want to take a bigger risk for a good selfie. Drownings, falls, shootings, and crashes rank higher than being attacked by sharks in the ocean. PAY ATTENTION.
