Cyndee Landrum will be leaving the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library.
She’s been the CEO-Director since January of 2016. Landrum has been appointed the Deputy Director for the Office of Library Services at the Institute of Museum and Library Services in Washington, D.C.
The EVPL Board of Trustees will conduct a search for her replacement.
Landrum released the following statement:
“It is with great enthusiasm and a bit of heaviness in my heart that I begin this new library journey. I am energized by the possibilities and learning ahead of me. I also recognize that this ends 20 years of continuous service in public libraries. I could not think of a better place than Evansville and Vanderburgh County to close this chapter of my career. I am proud of what the library is accomplishing with our community.
EVPL is a bellwether among libraries. I am glad that I had the opportunity to contribute to its ongoing evolution. I will miss the talented, brilliant, thoughtful, and compassionate colleagues, Trustees, Foundation Board members, community members, and local leaders that I have been privileged to work with every day. They have been integral to my advancement and learning as both a leader and as a library and information science professional.”
