A bill on its way to the Indiana Senate would - its author says - promote economic development in Warrick, and other Indiana counties. Representative Ron Bacon of Chandler guided the legislation to passage in the House, saying there are 300 towns with overlapping jurisdictions municipal utilities with a potential of 150 arguments over which can provide sewer hook-ups to developers. But Newburgh Assistant City Attorney Chris Wischer doesn't see it that way. He says there's been massive economic development in Warrick County, thanks to the Newburgh Sewer Utility.
