Governor Pence declares an energy emergency, and announces new measures to help families and businesses cope with the propane shortage. He says almost 10 percent of Hoosiers use propane for residential heating. In response, the state's Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program released an additional $5 million to local service providers. Pence has extended an emergency proclamation that waives transportation rules, and helps propane suppliers meet the needs of Hoosiers.
