Trick-or-Treating was discouraged by local officials Halloween night, but that didn't stop several police agencies from knocking on front doors. They were conducting what they called "Operation Goblin." It was a response to gun violence in Evansville. Police and deputies served firearms-related warrants on six persons including 30-year old Jeremy Gill, 25-year old Michael McCool, 28-year old Angela Layne and 54-year old George Shuttle, all of Evansville, and 23-year old Richard Culley of Chandler and 21-year old Cody Deffendoll of Boonville.
