He'll stay behind bars. The attempted murder conviction of a Posey County man has been upheld by the Indiana Court of Appeals. 27-year old Brandon McManomy was convicted of cutting a Posey sheriff deputy’s face before he cut his own throat, while at his parents’ house near St. Philip. He had argued that there was not enough evidence to prove he intended to kill the deputy. He also argued the judge was wrong to limit the testimony of an expert witness for the defense.
