On March 27, 1812, Hugh McGary purchased 200 acres of land that became known as the City of Evansville. This exhibition — a part of the Bicentennial celebration that recognizes Evansville’s 200-year existence — includes historic documents and artifacts relating to the early years of Evansville. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday; Noon-5 p.m. Sunday.
